Having had such a good day on Monday, the rest of the week will probably go downhill from there!

Yesterday, i went into town to pick-up an order from Lakelands and went via my dentist's surgery. The last time i went there, the receptionist said new rules, we have to view proof of your Pension Credit status. No rush, next time you're here will do, but i put said proof in my bag for whenever i was passing next. That said, i called yesterday. They close at lunchtime [i'd forgotten the timing] but one of the girls came to the door when she saw me. i quickly explained and pulled out the letter, but oh no, that wasn't what they meant. Apparently, i will have to wave said proof at them each time i go now? How stupid is that?? i wasn't pleased and went on my way unrejoicing...
Fair amount of people about for a Tuesday; pedestrians are quite stupid and rarely look where they are going.  i especially hate young mothers with pushchairs, who apparently think the world revolves around them and have cow-like vacant expressions as though the world is beyond their comprehension.
i went and got my pre-paid online order frome a helpful but slightly thick assistant - gave her the order notification, and name when she asked. i was surprised and said isn't it on there? She had perforce to come round the counter to show me it wasn't, so i repeated my name before she went off to get it. A surprisingly longish wait ensued but eventually she reappeared and started fiddling around with the counter screen.  i was about to ask her what the problem was but she finally produced a receipt and opening the bag, checked the items and finally gave it to me.  Restraining myself from doing eye-rolls, i departed.
i went to grab a bite in the market but my stomach started to make rude noises and i swiftly cut short my outing and dashed off home.  i could have gone to the loo at one of the cafes i suppose but thought home was the best place for the runs. i JUST made it! Not a top-notch day.

This morning i was due to have some bloodwork done and had fasted from 9pm. Nice fine day but cold wind. New nurse to me but boy, was she clumsy! She filled three tubes and was starting on a fourth but was leaning on my arm too much and popped the needle out - thanks a bunch! She had to go onto the other arm for the last one. Went home muttering under my breath, for much needed and soothing coffee and breakfast. i'm hoping that will the the third irritating thing this week and not over-running on to the back-to-back meetings i have tomorrow. Booked the taxi for the first one and crossed my fingers.

i've got a bunch of animal pictures for you today, hope you like them - love the little giraffe and lion cub in the leaves- do you know them all?  And the last pictue is a really cleaver way to disguise your garden shed or make your walls that much longer and prettier. Enjoy!

Sorry about your woes! It's a sad reflection of society that you have to prove who you are all the time isn't it :(

I love the photos. Baby animals are particularly endearing aren't they?

I swear by Imodium for the trots!!

I hate all this i.d. malarkey now, but there's so much fraud. Photo I.D. is a pain. This week we have to take in i.d. to the job centre despite my signing on for over a year! We start electronic signing with some people at the job centre being made redundant. :( I got a raise! A quid. Shout whip. :D

The photographs are wonderful, can't choose a favourite but maybe the little mice and the armadillo.

Oh yes, Imodium is my Friend! This new 'wave' is being activated by new meds and my body doesn't really like it. i'm hoping i'll settle down in a bit as i adjust... :(
i don't know how you cope with all the crap you have to put up with at the Job Centre etc; it's impossible to live on the Unemployment without help - i know. SO GLAD i don't have to do it any more. Going on the Pension was the best thing that happened to me, after struggling for so long trying to find work. Hope you are managing, sweetie.
i'm pleased you enjoy my pictures. There are so many wonderful photographers nowadays, aren't there?
