Wednesday 7th February...

Last night, the minutely sized, and brained, Greek finally made my hit list....  He put two radiators on full blast to dry his frickin washing - AGAIN!!  Do not do this in common areas AND he actually puts the clothes ON the radiators.  Already asked him not to do that, twice.. He reckons he doesn't understand why it is a fire hazard.
He hates being asked NOT to do anything and threw another tantrum.  Screaming at me..."i want my life back" and "tell the landlord" really don't do it for me - and 'cos he asked so nicely, i decided i would - i'm not putting up with him anymore.    i don't want to be a whistleblower, i don't like being put in this position and i refuse to feel the slightest twinge of guilt... after all is said and done - this is my home too...
This is the email i sent landlord..  edited for obvious reasons.
"i'm sorry to have to involve you...
Room #4 is becoming a fire hazard.  It is bad enough that he is zoned off his head on dope most evenings, the corridor reeks of it pretty much every night he is here - but he is forgetting to turn off the stove, leaves the hot tap dripping and frequently leaves every light in the house on all night, as well as the radiators.   i have asked him to turn lights & radiators off, if he is not in the kitchen - he rarely does.
The final straw is using the radiators to dry his washing - turning up two radiators full blast and covering them with clothes - does he do the same in his room?   Asking him not to is a waste of time, as he thinks it is perfectly acceptable and i am being unreasonable and interfering in his life.   i tell him it is a fire risk (as he leaves them all night) but he doesn't think this is wrong and i am not sure if he is capable of grasping the concept.
i've tried telling him it will also put up the heating bill but it makes no difference and tonight, he threw another tantrum and screamed at me, to get out of his life and why don't i tell the landlord.
Since he put it so nicely, how could i refuse him... When does he go back to Greece?  September, isn't it?
i know you don't want to know but i'm sure you don't want a fire either...  K has become an accident waiting to happen."

and i get one back today - saying he will tell the Housing!  as the Greek shouts at him too!  Sounds like i'm the only one who stands up to the twat...  i had to laugh.
Bottom line?  Don't mess with me, little man...

Next project was ring the Refuse Dept at the Council and get the full & proper bins sent out - yes, this will happen 'soon' and will send me a 'calendar'? to let me know what goes in which bin...

Mind you, i want to see somebody DO something now.    More in our next gripping installment...

Good for you - communal living means consideration for other people and putting up the heating bill just to dry clothes is totally unacceptable!!

These eyes kill...
He is a little sod, favourite and most used word 'me'... he turns the radiators on and i follow on behind turning them off...

On the plus side, we got our shiny new green bin for organic waste AND the promised calendar from the Council, which tells me which bin they are picking up which week etc... nice one, guys.

AND we got our snow today! but only two inches and it was melting by lunchtime... Lots of flights cancelled this morning tho.

Stay warm, petal...

i could set it to music...
i was just saying that to Lynnie the other night!! If i set all this to music, i could put on the West End and make a frickin fortune!!

It would be bad enough if he put the clothes on the damn chairs, using communal heat... this is absolutely unacceptable. Hillarious that the landlord won't face him! But if the Housing aren't prepared to do anything and they may not, 'cos let's face it, what has it got to do with them??
He started to complain, i totally ignored him and it eventually filtered through his skull - so he has taken to turning the radiator on outside my room every time he walks passed [he doesn't seem to realise i can hear this!] and i just follow him turning it off... Women are built for endurance...
His dishes are left permanently out on the draining board on an increasingly grubby tea towel...disgusting little creep.
But i am SO serious about sorting this malevolent dwarf, if i have to blow the whistle... i just may....*mutters darkly*
