This is Fashion??

This is Fashion??  i'm posting a couple of pictures from a home shopping catalogue - inbetween a lot of stuff that is the wrong style, horrible colours and endless amounts of tunics, we do have some nice gear.  But. Oh. My.  Word.  Cast your peepers on this little lot!!
First pic is a page of THE most awful 'Little House on the Prairie' mumsy rubbish you have ever had the misfortune to see - and drab as hell to boot!   i know there is a push back towards 70's prints and 'country' styles - real Holly Hobby stuff - but  can't believe how dreadful this is...  And the prices!  Not bloody likely.
The second is yet another tunic-length top in that god-awful 'dusty' pink - read 'muddy'! - that always looks like it needs a good wash.  And, my dear, just look at it!  Frilled to within an inch of it's hopefully short life - it looks like a drunken cuttlefish trying to get up mating colours!!  It's isn't flattering to any shape and if it is designed to cover mid-bulges, it is failing miserably!!  Who would want to pay £26 for that horrible thing??

Wouldn't catch me wearing any of it! The dresses are very 'posh old bint' style in my opinion. It's similar to that which is seen in Country Casuals..

i've noticed over the years that when the designers run out of ideas or want to return to their 'young' years, this sort of thing happens. i didn't like the gypsy and peasant-style stuff back in the 70's, why would i like it now? But they are trying it on a new generation... hope they hate it as much as i do!
This ain't what i want to see from British designers, that's for sure!

Some fashions should stay in the past while others I think, need a revival. I like the feminine styles at the moment, the frilled blouses/shirts and the tighter skirts that show off the figure. Not that I'm the right shape for them now, but they look fab on Jade. If I got her one of those dresses she'd baulk and put it somewhere never to be seen again!

Those dresses are dreadful, aren't they. I'm not bothered by the top though. In fact, I just bought one that's similar in a lovely green print. It's a fun change for me.

You, my dear, would look good in a black plastic garbage bag... :D

Is that first one a suit? If so I love it. Not keen on the middle one but the end is okay, I'd give it a whirl if I was think. Don't think I'd fancy it in a size 30 though and again if I had her figure I'd wear the pink frilly blancmange top too. I can't believe I'm admitting to this! They're def not you though, you're more classic ::sucks up::

That is dress and top [sold separately] - £65 for dress and £35 for top, billed as 'cover up'. It is the best of the 3, i admit and not too bad - it was mostly the other two that raised my fashion hackles... God, can you imagine me in those??? i'd look like a frilly Victorian cushion with half an inch of dust on it!!

:loves the suck-up:
