More of the 366 photos, 2 days worth

Not sure if this isn't a wasted occupation but it is getting me out and about more and seeing more of Cambridge....  The first features one of the bicycle shops in Mill Road, wedged inbetween the RSPCA shop and one of the many vacant shops that are popping up with more frequency nowadays.  Kailash is one of those wonderful el-cheapo shops that sell almost anything, Pizza shop, then one of the many Churches that proliferate just this road...  The second is another shot of Mill Road, looking the other way.  We have a heavy Asian influence in the area, Indian on this side of the railway bridge and Oriental & Arab on the other.  It gives us a diversity of cafes and food shops - currently Chinese, Korean & various Middle Eastern countries, plus my favourite little computer man is Indian too.  Cambridge has so many students of different nationalities, you can hear many languages spoken here;  indeed, sometimes it's refreshing to hear English spoken on the buses!

There's quite a lot of repairs being carried out to buildings now that the weather has improved - and the trucks continue to be a damn nuisance!  But what can you do?  Supplies of all kinds still need to be delivered on streets not designed for modern vehicles.  This is a common problem in a lot of old towns in Britain and some of the smaller cities.  What price progress, eh??

Today the sun is shining and i won't feel sad.  :D  Have a great day, dear F-list!

Photos are never a waste of time! I love the cycle shop, really old-fashioned looking. :)

That's the beauty of local shops and not those super big, flash modern sports ones in malls... there are three in Mill Road; not just 9 million bicycles in Beijing!
