And it's Saturday, 16th November 2013

Time rockets on as usual..fugiting all the ah, time! :)
It's been so damp, grey and generally uninviting that i haven't really been out at all.  Except to pick up pills and post an envelope; that in itself i guess is now a rare thing, but you can't return a duplicated DVD by email!  i so rarely post anything but presents for friends nowadays, 'snail mail' indeed.  It's like cheques.  i only pay one local restaurant who doesn't do debit/credit cards, so it's cash or a cheque.  It's one of my favourite Indian restaurants, so i still have a chequebook.  It's got so it feels odd writing one, especially when you consider i used to pay so many accounts by cheque once.
So, LOTS of pictures for you today start with one that gives a whole new meaning to 'loafers'! Love amber with fossils; a newel post that would suit Jane to the ground; a couple of new bugs from Arthrobots;  another lovely newel post; unusual fish tank; look closely at the owl, it's not what you think; great sunset with the elephant; fantastic dragon tattoo; not sure if this skull is woven in or photoshopped!  Absolutely adore the mermaid ring; clever way to display old tins, which i'm guessing many would prefer to Mr Finch's pink spider!  Dr Who 'tapestry';  very sweet bootees, socks and sock monkey; Kaieteur Falls, Guyana;  lovely red bauble wreath; sand drawings in Hawaii; Lowland Streaked Tenrec and no, i'd never heard of it either or the Venezuelan Poodle Moth discovered in 2009 - under Mr Finch in his workshop making hares; last, but not least, a very clever old photo superimposed over the modern.  The photographer is Hungarian [sorry forgotten the name but he's on Facebook], so i'm guessing all his photos were from Hungary.

They didn't pollard trees in the old picture, that i know of! That tree would have been very much bigger today, which means someone has chopped it down. *barbarians* This poor thing is a modern replacement.

By the by, will you send me a proper email, not through Facebook; i can't find one... Oh wait, are you still Spikeysgirl?
