Went to see the doctor this morning about the nerve trouble in my left hip.  It's not getting better, just more frequent.  She's sending me off to X-Ray to check it out, as it is in the right [or wrong] place for the sciatic nerve, which i may be pinching or trapping.  i rang the Dept for an appointment and to my suprise, they were amazingly fast - this Wednesday at 3.30pm.  i wouldn't have thought nerves would show up well on x-rays.  As long as it's not crumbling spinal bones...
Been raining most of the weekend and COLD, even for me! More layers on the bed; if this keeps up, i may actually pull out the duvet - don't faint!  i do bedding layers as i chuck them off as the night/morning gets warmer and i can actually start sweating.  i know, weird woman!
i braved the weather to go out twice; Friday, to see a stage production of 'To Kill A Mockingbird' [actually quite good, in spite of a rather modern tendency to have the actors sit on the sides of the stage and for all of them to be holding different copies of the book, from which they took turns in reading bits out to supplement the action] and Sunday, to the cinema for 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' - don't you find this part 1 & 2 bit irritating? i know i do.  It's padding to make more money really.  With some judicious editing, i think could have done both parts together.  The special effects made this film but i'm not knocking the actors, especially as they had to work around the death of Phillip Seymour Hoffman too.  Heaven knows how this will affect the second part.
And so we end on my usual picture gallery - some rather groovy dolls i found on Textiel Plus, Katharine Morling's amazing ceramic sewing machine and  looks like the praying mantis is riding a bicycle! Garfield wishing on a star, horses & carriage made out of horseshoes, antique Santa paper dolls a mind-blowing shot of the Titanic's propellers and Rosa Verloop's used stockings face/doll/whatever, very clever, no?

I have relented today and put the heating to come on all day rather than just the morning and evening as it's cold! I may also have to put the winter duvet on the bed as I woke up last night and it was damned chilly in the bedroom. I will no doubt wake up boiling hot if I do that because I have a habit of wrapping myself up in the duvet, but at I'd rather be too warm than too cold.

I love that sculpture of the horses and carriage.
