Boy, i'm slack!  i should never do daily memes...

Day 04 → talk about television this year - boy, such a lot to list. Game of Thrones is compulsive and i have Seasons 1-6 on DVD; Sean Bean's Legends i loved; i watch a lot of the NHK Japanese channel, such fascinating programmes about Japan; i love the Auction series and Drew Pritchard's Salvage Hunters. i record lots of films and nature programmes - so pleased the wonderful David Attenborough has done Planet Earth ll. It's a marvellous show. Really far too many things to list here; i'd be here all night!

Day 05 → talk about books this year - Same with books, i read so many and always have a stack on my sidetable and another pile on the front of one of my bookcases [i have 3 and 4 wall shelves here in the lounge and 3 bookcases in the bedroom!!], my Kindle and maybe one other on my nightstand. So you can see how difficult this is! Currently on my sidetable; Jo Nesbo's Police, Laurell K Hamilton's Crimson Death, Michael Connelly's Wrong Side of Goodbye, Charmaine Solomon's Complete Asian Cookbook for Indonesia, Malaysia & Singapore, and two that it has taken me a LONG time to find, Jon & Rumer Godden's Two Under The Indian Sun and Ronald Welch's The Galleon [about 30 years for that one!!]. i have some just on Kindle; some Kelly Armstrong & Janet Evanovich's Turbo 23. You can see what a catholic taste i have. i do have a lot of 'detective' novels, from Donna Leon to Charlaine Harris to Jim Butcher and J D Robb.

Day 06 → talk about food this year - Well. i do love my food. Favourites, Indian & Malaysian curries, Italian and stews etc that i make in my slow cooker. i draw no real favourites as to style but eat a lot of chicken, pork & beef in that order and prawns & salmon follow up. There really isn't a decent wet fish shop here. My salmon comes from Tesco's deli, when it's on sale for £10 a side, and i skin & cut it up myself into meal-size portions for the freezer. We do have some good restaurants in Cambridge and i visit Jamie's Italian, when i can afford it; the new Nines [a varied selection of different countries] and the excellent Indian Moza. The last 2 are set all-you-can-eat menues and very good value too.

Day 07 → talk about music this year - i've added some music to library this year. Quite a lot of 'oldies' that have made it to CD but some current stuff too. Nowhere near as many as the books though. Let's see, Seth Lakeman's latest, the newly-found acoustic Tim Buckley music and a couple of Rakesh Chaurasia's [Indian Flute Master]. Quite a lot of oldies; suddenly realised i didn't have a copy of Elton's Yellow Brick Road. i may have lost that when i had the computer crash, as i was so sure i had it.

Day 08 → talk about games this year - This will be the shortest section yet and maybe of all, as i simply do not play games online or otherwise. The closest i come is playing solitare & Mah Jong on my computer.

That's it for now, folks!

You have more book cases than me! I've downsized a lot this year. It's a killer to let them go but I only keep the ones I know I'm going to read again at some time in the future. :)

i had a big clear out just recently and boy, how painfull that was! Not just books but DVDs, CDs and clothes. The BHF love me, but not sure the drivers do! i gave them some furniture too when i bought my George lll chest of drawers and chucked out the little one i'd been trying to cope with for ages, and same with bedside units.
