It's been a while...i do go out but when it's cold and miserable, times are few.  i can go days without speaking to anyone. That's one of the things about living on your own.  i really should make an effort and get the floors cleared up, then maybe i could get kitties again; they are such wonderful company.  i put it off for quite some time, on account of going off on weekends occasionally.  When i've had cats before, i shared with other people, so they would be looked after while i was away.  i couldn't have them when i was up North [Mum wouldn't have them again; long story, and i couldn't have them when i lived-in at the Hotel], but i've prevaricated since i've been down here. i do miss having them.
i got a chill on Friday and felt distinctly unwell. i ordered some Chinese but kept falling asleep in my chair and didn't eat it! Most unlike me. i just went to bed and slept some more, with an extra blanket - and with the window shut.  i always have the window open at night for the fresh air.  It's been a bit too 'fresh' with this cold snap but i do just chuck another blanket on.  i don't take chances when i get chilled and just batten down the hatches. i had to push my self out of bed this morning as i needed to eat and take my meds.  i started to feel better and my toast & marmite lunch set me right. It'll be a light dinner maybe, see how i feel.
Other than that, i've only been to see one film since the beginning of January, when i went to see 'Hostiles' [a new twist on the Western]. This latest was 'Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri' with Frances McDormand, who i like a lot.  Fascinating story of a mother trying to stir the police to greater efforts since the murder of her daughter.  Great performances from Frances and Sam Rockwell, who never fails to give a good performance, even if you don't like him! Do see it if you can.  i'm waiting for 'The Shape of Water' now.
And on to the Friday Five.

1. Where did you go the last time you took an airplane ride?
Let me see..i think it would be Venice.  That's some years back now.  Short flight in comparison to the long haul to USA.
2. Are you a nervous flyer or a comfortable flyer?
i'm pretty comfortable with the actual flying, just get bored with length of time in the air. i rate the flights out of ten for landings and happy to report, never rated below 7!
3. Window seat or aisle seat?
i try for a right-hand aisle seat on account of the left leg needing room
4. What is the worst experience you've had flying?
Nothing really pops into my mind immediately.  i've experienced some bad weather occasionally and going into LA one time, we had some strong cross winds, but it wasn't nail-biting stuff
5. What is the best experience you've had flying?
It was the shortest flight here in UK, coming down from up North to Heathrow to pick up an international flight.  i'm happy to say it was British Airways.  We had the smoothest take-off and landing ever and i told the stewardess to give my compliments to the pilots!

Just when you think you have seen everything, here comes this brindled horse. Amazing.
That's it for now. Have a great weekend!
