IT WORKED!!  finally...  i always have trouble with these picture things...  Thanks for links Sami & KazzyCee

It is always fun to see what someone makes of your choices, how 'you' are interpreted by strangers, i guess - endlessly fascinating subject... me.   *giggles insanely*  i'd LOVE to see James' choices...

Got makeup and jewellery choices made today...  Did i tell you i made Cousin Grizz's posing pouch and a hoodie to match??  Don't remember...  That made me laugh...  If the ladies thought the SBB clan were daring and naughty, wonder what they will make of Grizz??  But he is decently covered - even if it leaves little to the imagination.

Now if i can find the iron, i will iron a dress and a top - not sure about the dress, may take it with me but i will take the top.  Kinda gunmetal blue/grey with metal links over lapping down the front, bit like chainmail for decoration, long sleeves to cover the sagging old skin...  Wish i'd met James when i had younger skin...  i had nice skin...

Bought a very cheap copy of Casino Royale and watched it Sunday night - what a rollercoaster!!  not a lot like the old book but this might very well turn out to be the best action thriller of the decade...  Daniel Craig has made Bond dangerous again.  You ain't seen it, make yourself a date...

Char phoned again, say bloodwork to her and she gets worried...  but it's cholestrol & glucose, is all...  Don't know how she copes with be confined for so long, i'd have run mad by now...  It was bad enough while she could still see but this last year and a half [how glibly that runs off the tongue] - being mostly blind...  Her sight now has improved out of sight [yes, that was a pun..]  now the cataracts have been removed.  She can see light and shapes with one eye and can sorta read with the other.  She can now see faces with two eyes, one mouth and colours in the right places...  but the glare is blinding.  If she has shades and half light, she manages pretty well.   To her delight, she can now see if she drops something on the floor and she can cook again.   i know we cope and manage because we have to and there is no other way, but damn... she is amazing in what she has put up with and endured - coupled with a son with heart problems and an amazing disregard for his mother.
i guess we do what we can, to the best of our limited abilities...
She may not be able to read much but she will probably be able to get glasses soon.  From my mouth to the goddess' ear...

i alternate between total despair and depression to a weird kind of optimism...  it is easy to generalise and say, yes, i will not give up and i will keep on trying, fighting to cope with the bureaucratic total disregard & disinterest in my wellbeing...  it's another to face the day after day grind of same-ness and lack of any apparent improvement - with another fight with the Housing looming in June...  But i WILL NOT THINK ABOUT THAT NOW.
i will be going down to London in 7 days...  wow...

My train ticket is in my Trip Zip Folder, along with a new Oyster card, my hotel reservations [all pre-paid, thank heavens!], my tickets for the Spring Fever Tour - i will see James next week! - also a train voucher for the Milton Keynes train and tickets for James' Talk & photo ops for me & Sue, who is sharing hotels with me [my favourite roomie!]
i still have to pay for my Shopmobility scooter at Milton Keynes and my bus tickets home to Cambridge but i should be ok with that...  Lynnie has my Collectormania party tickets for Saturday & Sunday [we're going to look like like hags by the time we go home!!] and we. are. going. to. have. FUN!   Sue said it best, i can sleep when i get home...

And that is Tuesday - oh! did you watch CSI tonight??  What's with Grissom?  Isn't he coming home??  That was an "I'll miss you" letter he was writing Sara...  ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH....  IS he leaving completely???

Take care, guys

Char is amazing.

Keep your chin up. Something has to turn up. I'm sending you good vibes. Don't know what good vibes from an american are worth these days. LOL.

I'll see you soon! Woohoo! When are you going up to Milton Keynes? I'm going up Saturday morning and can't check in until 3pm and Travelodge has no luggage check. Do you know anyone who will be in a room already or who will have a car there who would be willing to let me leave my luggage with them. I'll owe them a drink!

Believe me, Good Vibes from you are worth a lot and i thank you.
Not sure if we are going up on Friday night or Sat morning - but you are welcome to leave your bags in our room [with the others!]as i booked an extra night, for just this purpose. i will be leaving a list with Reception, so come ahead as i will add to it, yeah? Tell 'em it's Ginger-Anne!
See you SOON!!

Are you staying at the Travelodge too? Is the reservation under your name? Please add Ginger Graves to the list :-)

Thank you, thank you!!! I had visions of hauling my luggage all over Milton Keynes. It was not a pretty vision.

I owe you a big drink!!!

Yes, staying at the MK Travelodge Central, close to the train/bus station... We were in the same boat, what to do with the luggage until 3pm?? Some of the hotels will let you leave bags, some won't and i preferred not to take the chance...

Which of the Spring Fever events are you going to, pet?

I'll be at Soho and Union Chapel. I was in Alaska when the Spring Fever tickets went onsale. And since I had no advanced notice, I had not arranged for someone to buy me a ticket. *sigh*

Do you mind if my roomie - Patti Leist (pattij on the boards) - leaves her suitcase in your room too?

I'm planning to take the early train out of London for Milton Keynes. I should be there between 9am and 9:30am. I wanted a chance to refresh myself before getting my picture taken. I think my first photos are at 11am. I bought for Tony Head, Charisma Carpenter and James. When are you planning to leave for the mall?
Apr. 27th, 2007 09:52 am (UTC)
We will be leaving Friday night, so should be there around 01.30am - then maybe a snooze... Not sure what Sue wants to do viz queuing for autographs but i'm not desperate for an EARLY Saturday one.
i also have to go pick up the Scooter when Shopmobility open, so i will probably be doing that when you arrive. Don't worry though, the list will get you in and i will leave them my mobile # just in case. i'll give you the number at Soho, so you have it too - give me a ring when you hit the mall and i'll let you know where we are, yeah?

Mmmm, i guess that can't hurt...you are going to be with her - no offence, but i don't know her.
We are going to look like a left-luggage office but you know what, it'll be great... *adds Patti to list* That makes 10, plus us!

i am going to have to close the list now, i think that's enough! Going to be fun though...

You are the bestest! I can't wait to see everyone at Soho. I'm flying out Sunday morning, arriving in the am on Monday. Meeting up with Lene at the hotel, then who knows?!? I do love merry old England ;-)
