Beautiful graphics, check it out...

Well, didn't get to go to the interview yesterday, 'cos i was sick...  but i did ring to let them know.
Had a lousy night, all bone aches and shivery, like you're coming down with the 'flu but in my case, it is often just my way of getting rid of whatever bug i have picked up...  Rarely get the 'flu...   Anyway, i had the doctor's appointment Friday just before 11am, so tottered down the road for that.   Told him to keep his distance as i didn't know what i was fighting... and the visit was for a sore Achilles tendon anyway.   He gave prescribed some ibuprofen cream to massage on and we briefly discussed doing physio on it.   Trouble being it would take 6-8 weeks!!!!! to get me in!   If my tendon was still sore after nearly two MONTHS, it would need more than physio to fix, doncha think??
Went down the road and got the cream straight away, as i knew if i decided to go later, i might not make it.  i sat down feeling lousy and waited while the prescription was filled, only about 10 minutes.  Went straight home to bed - and stayed there for the rest of the day.
i alternated between reading and sleeping for most of the afternoon and later i watched 'Shadow Puppets' - lovely James...
He was right, it was a 'quick rough shoot' but he did the best he could with it.   Not a good film unfortunately, it telegraphed what was going to happen next like a demented addis lamp and had holes in it you could gallop through with a coach and four...  Hate it when films are so predictable and SLOW to get off the ground...  The film had no pace and very little punch.
i will, however, treasure it for James...   Kinda like the awful 'Shark Attack 3'  with John Barrowman.

So today i do feel a little better but still lingering nasties...  not going anywhere or doing anything... just get over this.  Still not eating well.  Just cereal and a sandwich yesterday, not hungry...  had cereal for dinner too.
i belong to the DVD Rental list with Amazon and my latest selection is 'Mansefield Park' with Billie Piper... interesting to see what she will make of that...
ok, back to bed...
Have a good weekend, guys

oh honey, I'm so sorry you are sick. Recover soon!

I watched Shadow Puppets yesterday too. I actually liked it. Okay it was not a glueing one to the chair movie, but I liked it overall. James was great. And yummie :P

Have a rest and take care, sweetie!

Thanks love! It is only a temporary thing, i hope!! *touches wood* Just have to clear the cotton wool from my brain!

i wasn't expecting much from Shadow Puppets and i guess that was just as well. i knew that James had done the best he could with the material and the production people really liked him, which has got to be good! Nice little clip of him talking about the film...
i found the story to be too close to several other movies recently made, like The Cube - which i found totally infuriating and i hated it! The only way this stuff succeeds is to be original or at least have an original way of re-working an old story...
Blood Lines, soon to start on UK TV, is an example of the latter - an ex-police detective and a vampire joining forces to catch supernatural bad guys [the female PI has terrible night vision, so the vamp is a godsend]. It is like Dresden Files in that it is based on a series of books - see Dresden also is an original idea, nobody had a wizard detective before...

i hope your job settles down soon and you get to enjoy it.
Take care and hang in there, love

Hope you're feeling up to par soon. Be careful of that achilles problem. I neglected mine and ended up with a partial rupture and a cast for two months. If it doesn't clear up will they send you for an X-ray or MRI to see if there is more serious damage? Hope it's just a strain.

The Sisterhood won't let me post for some reason, so would you let Char know I'm thinking of her and saddened by her loss.

Feel better soon

i am feeling a lot better today, thanks, petal...
i've never had any problems with tendons before and if something doesn't clear up in a couple of days and affects my walking, i DO take it seriously... The cream should help a lot and i am staying off it as much as i can for now to let it settle down - it's always a double edged sword, isn't it? As your feet loose 'condition' so fast.
If it hasn't settled down in a week or so, i will go back to him and ask for an X-ray...

i tried to check out the Sisterhood but there is something odd happening with my access, so i have referred the problem to Lynnie, who set it all up. Hopefully she will sort it, when she has a moment.

In the meantime, i will indeed pass on your condolences to Char, i know she will appreciate them. Poor love, she is still in shock and trying to come to terms with Rob's loss. They have had a ceremony at the crematorium and a wake afterwards - three times as many people turned up than they bargained for but i think it was good for Char to know Rob was well known to many and valued. What it will mean to her in the long run, i don't want to think about as she is still not terrifically mobile and Ailissa, with the best will in the world, is not family and may move on and out of her home.
Char doesn't have anyone else to help as her family are pretty much useless and nowhere near her - lord alone knows what is going to happen.

Are you going to Dragon Con, that's not too far away from you??
Take care, love xxx

Hope you are feeling better.

I hated "Shadow Puppets." That's what? About 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back. LOL. Still James in his undies was nice.

As long as James gets some professional exposure and gets some decent money, i don't mind, i would watch him read the news...every night...

*heaves sigh*
