Just a few things to amuse...

Three things that caught my eye recently...
What a clever way to create a chair, out of rope!  And i love the plates and the beautiful aplique work of the bird from a quilt.

  i love these clever photos...

It's all about the pictures today - i saved a load onto a disc to share with you all and i can upload easiily from that, which is nice.
i will post some of the Seymour Diary i've been keeping in the near future as i figure it is the only way i will bring myself up-to-date, simply by copying it that way.  Probably bore the living daylights out of you but i will do it all under cuts to avoid causing a major log-jam, like my last novel length post!
But i'm including a couple of snaps from my first few days as well.  i will put more on PBase when i have some time but need to scoot shortly.

i did have a rather irritating visit into town today to do an errand for Landlord and bank a cheque - only to find soddin Barclays wouldn't put it in the account i gave them and i'll have to go back in again tomorrow with the other bank account details;  wouldn't mind so much but it was fine last time!  They really are worldclass twats.

These were taken over a couple of weeks, the last one when the two wall units/bookcases arrived.  Still haven't got the towel rails & shelf up in the bathroom [they are sitting on the right hand unit, that blue box] and they have both been moved since then.  i'll put the almost finished ones up soon.
The garden shot amply shows one of the reasons why i took this place, doesn't it?  Lovely trees and nice outlook onto one of the two courts.
The french doors open onto this one and my front door is left off the entrance between the bookcases, bathroom straight on.  Kitchen is to the right of the last shot.

ok, gotta go...  Take care, my dears

I love those 'pouring mugs' they are fascinating!

Your new place looks good - quite a bit of space and the garden is lovely. Nice to be able to open the french doors and put a chair outside on good days?

They are great, aren't they? There is a wooden bench just to the right outside and several people pause there frequently, it's so lovely there... i just push open my door and i'm right there.
Hope you and the family are going great guns!

Nice picspam! I like your backyard! Those cups and shoe shadows are genious...
I dread moving. You know, 21 years in one place = lot of stuff...There aren´t banana boxes enought to hold all stuff! Not gonna move! Salvation army can have it all when I croak! ;O)
"You can´t take anything with you when you go!" as someone sings.

I´ve read the first part of your journal. Good to know what happens over there. And nice to hear your diet is working so great! Surgery date yet?

I have a sore knee, too. I guess I´ve been "overphotographing/walking" So after 2,5 months of limping around I got a doctors appointment for Thursday. We´ll see what they say.

Bought a Walkstool, a foldable 3-legged stool that weight like nothing and can take 250 kg... So I don´t have to bend my knee too much.

Testdrive today and it´s great. Specially for macro photos, I can rest my elbows on my knees sitting down, very steady shots. And you can sit on it without pulling the legs out and get REALLY down to the bugs/plants. I like it. Should be nice to have queuing to concerts and such, too.

So, when are you going to post the next part of the novel? Waiting here! And I have lots of new photos waiting for you when you get back online!

Will start fooling around witht Smurf-James´s soon. Not quite happy with the colours, but I´ll get it right, eventually... LOTS of cursing involved.

Hugs, Ulla

21 years in one place?? Wah... Can't even imagine that, still haven't been 21 years in one country yet!
Love the sound of the stool, very handy. i keep checking your inbox and having a look at the pics. Can't save any, unless i save to disc here and transfer, so waiting until i get back online - WHEN...
Love your icon
